Eastlake, Ohio - National Consulting and Development Corporation (NCD) was recently featured as the cover story of the November issue of Business Solutions magazine. The feature high lighted NCD's new business offering "e-WIX", a web based document Application Service Provider (ASP) solution. The service enables companies to obtain electronic access to their paper files without purchasing document management hardware, software or support. NCD president, Charles Patti said "We developed a total outsource, turnkey solution to managing paper based information and our customers love it." Subscriber organizations send their paper files to NCD, where they are converted (scanned) to electronic images and stored on NCD computers. The customer can access the images instantly from any desktop computer that has internet access. Customers are charged a small monthly fee based upon the number of users who need access and the amount of document images stored. Scanning is provided "free" of charge.
"We began offering e-WIX in March and have been pleased with its reception," states Patti. Parker Hannifin uses e-WIX at its Ravenna and Columbus, Ohio plants as well as its headquarters facility. Erico, Inc. in Solon has nearly 700,000 images stored and 40 users accessing. Most of NCD business is based in Ohio with the exception of Bimbo Bakeries USA, a 60,000 employee company based in Ft. Worth, Texas who uses e-WIX for employee benefits records.
Patti says the reason e-WIX services are becoming so popular is customers wanted a high speed, low cost, user friendly solution to managing paper files. "We made it as easy and inexpensive as we could" Patti continues, "you give us your paper documents today and tomorrow they are available at your desktop to view, print, e-mail, fax and/or download."
